OH OH, I THINK I hear someone coming.
I better grab my stick.
Would you mind hiding it under your shoe?
No? How about in your pocket then?
Maybe in the shrubbery over there?
Okay ... maybe if I stand next to you he won't notice.
Ignore. Ignore. Ignore. Whew ... he seems to be walking right past me.
Rats! Well if he's going to chew my stick, I'm going to chew his leg!
I really appreciated the pet owners allowing me to photograph their dogs recently at Elgin Heritage Park. The interaction wasn't exactly the way I described it but the pictures seemed to tell their own tale.

This was so cute! I love this post and could imagine that would be the conversation going on in that little dog's head.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures and the story are perfect! I'm betting that cooperative lady had just as much fun as you did with this interaction. I sure had fun checking out the dogs and seeing how the pictures and your story-telling talent chose to work together to make this encounter live on with the laughter they inspired. Great post, Penelope!
ReplyDeleteToo funny. I loved this playful sequence of shots.
ReplyDeletePets are such good friends and sometimes so funny. Lovely photo series.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of pets and nice commentary.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post for the day!! I love the sequence! Aren't our dogs wonderful!! Hope you both have a great week and are able to hide lots of sticks!! -- Oh, Sam Schnauzer loved it, too!!

I like the story you made up. Who cares if it's true or not. :))
ReplyDeleteGreat interplay of words and photos!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit. Yes the queen's second son suffered massive braindamage because he was hit by an avalanche in Austria, and has not been conscious since the beginning of March. He is said never to recover again. Tragic, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteDogs are so thoughtful, making sure their people get enough exercise.
ReplyDeleteDelightful!
ReplyDeleteThe stick looks so much bigger in the first two photos. Delightful series! See you soon.
