THIS WATERY SCENE was taken a few days ago while on the Burrard Bridge looking towards the Granville Street Bridge to downtown Vancouver. You can enlarge the photo for more detail.

  1. Lovely photo, Penelope! That appears to be in my neck of the woods, but I'm not absolutely certain. Is it along the seawall looking towards the Granville Bridge?

  2. I was a little slow in providing the information, Carol. It is your neck of the woods but from a slightly different location.:)

  3. Ah, the Granville Street Bridge, and all the years I worked at the south end of it, in what we called "the new building" housing the Sun and the Province. Now the new building is gone and the old Sun Tower still stands on Beatty Street downtown. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Super photo, Penelope dear. Thanks for the memories.

  4. Very pretty image. I have not been to Vancouver BC sense the Worlds Fair. With a little brush stroke filter, it would be exactly like a famous painting. Thanks for sharing! Here is my entry.

  5. Lovely view, though it looks awfully grey! (just like it is in Ont)

  7. I know this neck of the woods, a fellow Vancouverite! Or almost, out in the Valley here.
I have been past this area though a few times, but never long enough to take a picture!
    Great photo!

  9. Silky, soft and shimmering waters!

Canada has so many bridges, both rural and urban. I have seen fellow bloggers from Canada showing off their bridges, be it north of south, east or west.

  11. What a fantastic view! It looks to me that hazy weather somehow fits to the scnene of the river.
    Thanks for sharing.

  12. Lovely. It feels so strange to me to see boats in the water this time of year. Your weather is so much warmer than ours this time of year. :)

  13. I used to love going down to Granville Island. I must make a visit when we are in town when we go sometime in February.
